What to Expect at Appalachian Church

At AppChurch, we want your first visit to be simple and meaningful! From the moment you arrive, our team is ready to help with kids’ check-in, coffee, and seating so you can feel at ease and can focus on what matters.
Weekend Worship Times:
- Sundays at 8:30am and 10:00am
Our 90-minute service includes live, faith-filled music, prayer time and a Gospel-centered message from Pastor Steve Ashley or our associate pastor, Steve Allen.
Occasionally we will have a guest speaker: one of the missionaries we support or someone on our teaching team.

"What about my kids?"
Safe, fun and Jesus-centered
Your kids are a top priority for us! When you visit, your children will experience a safe, clean, and fun environment where they can learn about Jesus. Our AppGen ministry serves children from 6 weeks old through 12th grade, with age-specific classrooms, engaging Bible teaching, worship, and games designed just for them.
What to Know Before Checking In Your Kids
- Secure Check-In: From the moment you arrive, our team will help you check in and walk you to your child’s room.
- Trained Volunteers: Every Mercy Hill Kids team member is background-checked and trained to care for your child with excellence.
- Engaging Bible Lessons: Each week, your kids will dive into a Bible story through interactive teaching, songs, activities, and memory verses.
- Allergies or Special Needs? Let us know during check-in so we can best serve your family!
Age Ranges and Meeting Times
Sunday Mornings:
Our 10:00am worship has childcare available for the whole service for nursery age babies.
Pre-K through 2nd graders are checked in at the kiosks before worship starts, then they sit with their families during worship and exit the worship center together for an age appropriate bible study.
Our 3rd graders through High school remain with their families through the worship and message.
Wednesday Nights:
At 6:30pm on Wednesdays, we have the following classes available for an hour long bible study
Nursery
Little Explorers (Age 3-5)
Pathfinders (Lower Elementary Grades K-2)
Trailblazers (Upper Elementary Grades 3-6)
Middle School (Grades 7-8)
High School (Grades 9-12)
