Week 2 (Jan. 18-24) Encourage

Renewal for those who are tired, discouraged, or burdened.

Isaiah 40.31: but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

Matthew 11.28: Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

Psalms 55.22: Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.

Prayer: Breathe Your renewing life into tired hearts and strengthen those who feel discouraged.  Replace heaviness with hope, fear with peace, and weakness with Your sustaining grace.  Refresh our spirits, restore our joy, and help us rest in Your faithful love.

Healing for hearts, families, and relationships.

Psalms 34.18: The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

Psalms 147.3: He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.

Psalms 91.4: He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

Prayer: We ask for Your healing touch over wounded hearts, broken families, and strained relationships.  Bring comfort where there is pain, forgiveness where there is hurt, and peace where there is division.  Restore what has been damaged and bind us together with Your love and grace.  Make us whole again in You.

Fresh joy, hope, and perseverance across the church.

1 Thessalonians 5.16-18: Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

James 1.2-4: Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a] whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Prayer: Pour out fresh joy, renewed hope, and steadfast perseverance across our church.  Lift weary spirits, strengthen faith, and help us press on with confidence in You.  Let Your joy be our strength and Your promises our anchor in every season.  Unite us in trust and gratitude as we walk forward together.

Encouragement for those serving faithfully behind the scenes.

Hebrews 6.10: God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.

Galatians 6.9: Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

Prayer: We thank You for those who serve faithfully behind the scenes.
Strengthen their hearts, renew their joy, and remind them that their work is seen by You.  Encourage them when they feel unnoticed and fill them with peace and purpose.  May they be refreshed and upheld by Your grace.
